This year, Yalta European Strategy’s main issue of discussion was: "Has the world changed and what does it mean for Ukraine?”. Over 350 leading politicians, diplomats, businessmen, public figures and renowned experts from 34 countries in partnership with the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation shared their experience and possible options for ensuring Ukraine's national security and territorial integrity.
It is the fourth time that COSMONOVA|NET organizes an online broadcast of the event, providing a quality image for viewers around the world!
What are the distinctive features of this year's YES Conference? What are the statistics aof this year’s views and what should we expect next year? To find out we turn to Taras Kozachuk, Chief Technical Officer of COSMONOVA|NET:
- This year, we recorded more than 8,000 viewers at a time, and the distinctive feature of the event was no room for any mistake, since live broadcast is much more complicated than working with ready made broadcast! Even the tiniest deviations in the process could lead to a failure of the entire service. To prevent this, we double up on all capacities - we take care of capturing, encoding, overlaying charts and separating audio tracks of simultaneous translation. And we developed the Online Real Time system specifically for this event (editing and publishing content).
The reception of the main and backup signal took place directly in the COSMONOVA|NET data center, which in turn passed the transcoding in several quality formats, and was then distributed through the fail-safe cloud platform, after which the end users could watch the broadcast live from Mystetskyi Arsenal!
There was also a parallel broadcast of the extraordinary performance, namely, the counting of the equivalent of $1 million in Ukrainian hryvnias carried out in one of the Arsenal’s pavilions broadcasted online on the big screens in the PinchukArtCenter.
